Chronicle of FreiwIlligen fire department Enkirch
In August 1922
the Enkirch volunteer fire brigade was founded.
In September the weir was divided into 2 fire engines. Of the equipment that was used at that time, only the Koblenz syringe from 1825 still exists today and is located in the fire brigade museum uf Schaad.
During the Second World War almost all military men were under arms, so that only a self-defense consisted of older men. After the war, almost all of the firefighters returned to the service in 1947, with a few exceptions. The equipment and uniforms were almost completely lost during the war and the occupation. According to the law, the strength of the Enkirch fire brigade was set at 30 men and 1 military leader.

November 1947
the first major exercise was carried out on Martinsmarkt.
Little by little, 2 TSAs with one TS6 each were purchased, which are still owned by the Enkirch fire brigade today.

In 1950
An AL12 attached ladder was purchased.
In the year 2008th
November 8th, 2008 the inauguration of the new fire-fighting equipment house took place.
After approx. 18 months of construction, the new Enkirch fire fighting equipment house was inaugurated on Saturday, November 8th. Wehrführer Manfred Schneider proudly welcomed the numerous guests and especially thanked his fellow fire fighters for their support during the construction period.
VG Mayor Ulrich k. Weisgerber gave a chronological overview of the tool shed. The cost was set at € 350,000. FFW-Enkirch had to raise 20% of this itself, which was partly financed by its own work and donations from the population. In addition, around 1500 hours of work were done by the FFw comrades with support from the population.

In 2009
in November
Thanks to the support of RWE Rheinland Westfalen Netz, the Enkirch volunteer fire brigade has new furniture in its training room. So that the group room in the Enkirch fire brigade depot, which was completed last year, could be equipped, municipal supervisor Michael Arens handed over € 2000 to Mafred Schneider
from the Friends of the Voluntary Fire Brigade. The money comes from the "Aktiv vor Ort" project
RWE Rheinland Westfalen Netz supports the social commitment of its employees in the municipalities. RWE employee Michael Arens pointed out
the good and long-term cooperation with the fire departments in the region. Thanks to its regional roots, the energy supplier has
Well-functioning partnerships with the local fire services. While they usually go out for others, this time the members of the fire brigade were active on their own behalf. When setting up and arranging the space, they put their labor into the service of the good cause and did a lot of work.

in December
For the first time on the 1st Advent in December 2009, a Christmas tree with lights shines the new fire brigade equipment house.
